Our next Freight Advisory Task Force meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, 8:30-10:00 AM.
At this meeting, we’ll hear from the Town Center CID and their consultant team on their Freight Cluster Plan. They have completed their plan and will discuss their planning process and project recommendations.
Next, we’ll have a presentation on the 2024 Atlanta Regional Freight Mobility Plan. This presentation will cover alternative fuels and transportation technology, data visualizations, freight design guidelines for the region, and an initial discussion of recommendations.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about both of these initiatives, ask questions, and provide your input. We look forward to seeing you online on June 5th.
The Freight Advisory Task Force was established in 2003 as part of the ARC regional planning process. The Task Force meets periodically throughout the year. The general membership of public/private sector freight representatives include railroads, trucking, airport, chambers of commerce, and community improvement districts. The Task Force provides a forum for dialogue between the freight community and the public sector on freight and goods movement issues.
