The Future of Mobility and Communities

- Keynote address by Ashley Hand, CityFi

The pace of technological innovation is staggering and offers considerable promise for the future of mobility. Autonomous vehicles, shared mobility, and seamless tech-enabled connectivity can all improve our user experience. But not without risks. How do we establish effective engagement, policy development, urban design, and a transformation of how we manage our public right-of-way to help us realize the full potential of these technologies to contribute to our community outcomes? Where should we take action today, when the future seems so uncertain, to prepare us for the future we desire? Ms. Hand will explore how data, mobility, and infrastructure -- the core services defined in the City of Los Angeles' transportation technology strategy “Urban Mobility in a Digital Age” -- can contribute to our transportation happiness and create a more equitable, livable, and sustainable future for all.
