About Ann Tarpley
Ann Tarpley serves as the Henry County mayoral representative on the ARC Board.
Ms. Tarpley was elected Mayor of Hampton in 2021 after one term on the city council where she championed and helped rewrite the city’s zoning codes, among other accomplishments.
As mayor, Ms. Tarpley has focused on economic development and infrastructure improvements, bringing jobs to the city and investing more than $3 million in the repair and replacement of sewer lines. She serves or has served on many boards and committees, including the Henry County Council on Aging, the Georgia Housing Leadership Academy, Georgia Municipal Association Board of Directors, and the Georgia Initiative for Community Housing. She was recently named one of the 100 Women of Influence by the Atlanta Business League.
Ms. Tarpley has an Associate Degree in business from Shorter University, a BA in Human Service from Shorter University, and multiple certificates from the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute. In her free time, she enjoys family and friends, reading, dancing, traveling, and supporting students’ endeavors.
