The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), the regional planning and inter-governmental coordination agency for the Atlanta region, is soliciting proposals from qualified private sector firms to implement an electric vehicle (EV) charging project funded under the federal Charging and Fueling Infrastructure (CFI) program.   In January 2024, the U.S. Department of Transportation / Federal Highway Administration (USDOT/FHWA) awarded a CFI grant of $6.1 million to ARC. These funds will be leveraged with private sector investments to expand the number of Level 2 EV charging stations at everyday destinations throughout the region. The application was developed on behalf of the 19 counties and 100+ incorporated municipalities within ARC’s transportation planning jurisdiction.
