Research and Analytics

ARC’s Research & Analytics Department (RAD) provides a range of data and mapping tools and services to help local governments and leaders make better-informed decisions. The department also provides sophisticated land use modeling that informs and underlies ARC’s regional transportation planning efforts. RAD not only produces “the numbers”, but also develops and maintains a database of current and historical information that is a necessary foundation for accurate representation of the past and reasonable assessments of the future. An increased focus of the department is leveraging partnerships in the development and deployment of online data tools to ease data access, developing innovative spatial and tabular data visualizations to facilitate understanding of the data, and performing detailed custom analyses that include narrative “storytelling” to inform application of the data.

Open Data and Mapping Hub
