Description:
Please RSVP today to join the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) and the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) as we host “Housing 202: A Deep-Dive for Planners” on Tuesday, November 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at GMA’s offices in downtown Atlanta. Designed specifically for “citizen planners” (e.g., members of local Planning Commissions and similar bodies) and local government staff planners, this training will demystify key concepts and terms in the housing arena; define common housing challenges in Metro Atlanta and Georgia; and illuminate strategies and solutions that planners can pursue to better their communities. Presenters will cover a range of tools, programs and concepts that local governments can implement in key areas such as leadership, policy, regulation, finance, and partnerships. This free educational session is being offered as part of ARC’s Community Planning Academy (CPA). The CPA program provides high-quality, cost-effective training to planners and decision-makers to lead their communities to achieve future goals.

Registration is full at this time. If you have any questions or would like to be placed on a waitlist in the event of a cancellation, please email Andrew Smith at asmith@atlantaregional.org.
