What transportation topic do you think is most important to the Atlanta region’s future?

Stop by ARC’s table at this Sunday’s Atlanta Streets Alive and talk to one of our transportation planners about what you think will best help metro Atlanta move forward, whether that’s transit expansion, micro-mobility, or bike-ped trails.

It’s part of our effort to update the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), the long-range vision for the Atlanta region. The MTP allocates $168 billion – yes, with billion with a ‘b’ – through 2050 to improve mobility and safety across the Atlanta region.

You can also pick up a postcard that lets you know ARC will be publishing a draft of the MTP update on Friday, Oct. 27. The public – that means you! – will have the opportunity to review and comment on the plan through Friday, Dec. 8.

The MTP is expected to be approved by the ARC Board in January, 2024.

We’ll be on Peachtree Street in front of Peachtree Center (that’s our home office!) from 1 to 5 p.m. Hope to see you there!

What’s Next ATL, produced by the Atlanta Regional Commission, is a community resource that explores how metro Atlanta is growing and changing, and how the region is addressing its most pressing challenges.
