Convened by ARC, the Atlanta Region Geospatial Community (ARGC) meets quarterly – since 2007 – to shape the future of geospatial practice in the Atlanta Region. Bringing together local government professionals alongside state and federal partners, ARGC accelerates the adoption of geospatial technology in planning and operations: sharing knowledge, fostering collaboration, elevating local innovation, and championing open data to build a stronger, more livable Atlanta Region. Specific partners include the Georgia Geospatial Information Office, Georgia Department of Community Affairs, Georgia Department of Education, Georgia Department of Public Health and US Census Bureau. At times, we also engage the broader community through academic and nonprofit entities.
