A limited number of e-bike rebates will be made available following the launch of the program. Eligibility requirements for rebates include:

- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must submit a complete online application to be eligible to be selected to receive an E-Bike rebate.
- If selected to receive an E-Bike rebate, you must provide documentation that verifies your eligibility.

Available E-Bike Rebates
The program will provide an upfront rebate known as a point-of-sale rebate, which means the rebate amount is deducted from the price of the bike when you buy it at local bike shop. You don’t have to submit a receipt and get reimbursed after the purchase. Rebates are limited to one per City of Atlanta resident and bikes must be purchased at a participating local bike shop.

Income Qualified Rebates
In 2024, the program reserved 75% of total rebate funds for low- and moderate-income individuals and families, defined as those earning at or below 80% of the Atlanta region’s area median income (AMI), which is at or below $60,200 for an individual (see table below).
Proof of income, for each income-earning member of the household, must be provided during the eligibility verification process if selected to receive an income-qualified rebate. If an applicant is claimed as a dependent on another person’s most recent income tax filing, they are considered to be a member of that person’s household regardless of their current living situation.
The chart below displays the household income earnings that meet this income qualified threshold. An applicant must earn at or below the income levels in the chart for their household size to qualify for an income-qualified rebate. The size of a household is defined by the total number of individuals living within a housing unit who are who are related by birth, marriage, or adoption. For more information on the methodology regarding these income limits, visit the website of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
