Plans for programming, catering, and transportation are greatly impacted by participant absences. When possible, MARC dates have been carefully selected so that they do not interfere with holidays, SAT/ACT dates and other statewide programs. Students are required to attend all MARC Saturday Sessions. Students will only be allowed two excused absences approved by the MARC Coordinator. If absences exceed the limit (2) or are unapproved, student's future participation in the program will be jeopardized. Please review the proposed dates and your personal calendar and initial the following statement: I am available on each of the proposed program dates.

Pre-Session Modules*

Pre-session worksheets will be provided monthly to introduce students to each session topic. Worksheets require no more than 30minutes of engagement outside of meeting dates. Please initial below to confirm your commitment to the pre-session aspect of the program.

Group Project*

The MARC program is built around an experiential learning model which includes a final project that requires 6-8 hours of engagement outside of meeting dates by phone, videocall, and email with group members and the MARC program manager. ARC forecasts the 21-county Atlanta region will potentially add 1.8 million people by 2050, bringing the region’s total population to 7.9 million. To put that growth in perspective, it's as if all of metropolitan Nashville will move to the Atlanta region over the next 30 years. With this growth, will come a need for jobs, housing and infrastructure updates.
