How ARC is Serving the Region’s Older Residents During COVID-19

Webinar Details

Category: Support

Since the advent of COVID-19, ARC’s Aging & Independence Services (A&IS) group has been working closely with its partner organizations that meet the nutrition needs of older persons, often helping them to pivot from serving in-person “congregate” meals (group meals at places such as senior centers), to delivering meals and groceries to the homes of a growing number individuals whose age makes them more susceptible to the illness — and thus more reluctant to leave their homes.

This is just one aspect of ARC’s work during the COVID-19 pandemic—and one aspect of our ongoing work to create a region that’s truly livable for all ages and abilities. This webinar will educate attendees about the wide-ranging ways that ARC works with older individuals and aging providers in the 10 counties — and what’s available to them — including Empowerline, whose website and phoneline provide free, helpful resources regarding issues from transportation, to housing, to help caring for loved ones.
