Transit Services in the Atlanta Region

Marta rail

Mass transit services in the Atlanta region, including bus, rail and streetcar, play a major role in alleviating congestion and improving air quality, while promoting regional land use and development goals.

Transit reduces the number of single-occupant vehicles on area roads while providing additional travel options that help people access jobs and essential services. Transit also plays an important role in attracting economic development.
