COVID-19 Report

The Atlanta Regional Commission's COVID-19 Report provides the latest data about the state of the novel coronavirus in the Atlanta area.

COVID-19 Local Cases Report

  • This dashboard uses data published by the Georgia Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 Status Report on weekly new confirmed cases and weekly new tests. To help understand how both indicators are moving through the population, the dashboard shows confirmed new cases and tests per 1,000 population at the county level (top right chart). The percent positivity rate, which is the most common measure for analyzing the state of the pandemic, is in the chart at the lower right at the county, 10-county region, and state level.

COVID-19 Recovery Indicators

  • This dashboard takes a look at economic recovery trends in three measures: initial unemployment insurance (UI) claims by week for the Atlanta Regional Commission’s 10-County area, weekly job postings for the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell MSA, and time spent outside for the Atlanta 10-County Area. The aim is to understand COVID-19’s impact on employment and mobility, which influence our economic landscape.

ARC’s COVID-19 Report is provided by 33°n, a website from ARC’s Research and Analytics group. Learn more about 33°n at 33n.atlantaregional.com.

Where are Georgia's Most Vulnerable People?

Neighborhood Nexus, a data partner of ARC, has developed interactive maps that show the location of Georgia’s most vulnerable people – whether they are vulnerable medically or economically. There are also maps showing the increase in cases and deaths over time, and one that shows testing sites around the state. This work was done to support the Greater Atlanta COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund of the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta and United Way of Greater Atlanta.
