The recently released Arts and Economic Prosperity 5 Study by Americans for the Arts estimates the economic impact of the nonprofit arts and culture industry for 341 communities throughout the U.S. The upcoming Regional Snapshot will take a closer look at this study and related data in metro Atlanta (10-county area).

The charts below are an introduction to the type of data made available through the AEP5 study.

The Total Spending Chart shows the combined spending by both nonprofit arts and cultural organizations and their audiences for the selected study regions. In FY 2015 in the 10-county metro Atlanta area, nonprofit arts and cultural organizations and their audiences had a total economic impact (spending) of $719,820,787.

The Full-Time Equivalent Jobs Chart shows the total amount of full-time jobs (one full-time job measure can be two half-time employees) supported by the nonprofit arts and culture industry. In FY 2015, nonprofit arts and culture organizations in the 10-county metro Atlanta area supported 23,514 full-time equivalent jobs.

Check back for a more in-depth look at this data in the June Regional Snapshot.
