ARC Seeks Public Input on Update to Regional Transportation Demand Management Plan

Atlanta — Feb 28, 2022

The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is asking metro Atlanta residents to share information about their transportation habits and needs in an online survey designed to inform an update to the regional Transportation Demand Management Plan.

The plan update, “Mobility Connections: A Plan for Expanding Opportunity,” aims to help local governments, transportation agencies, businesses and community partners better meet the mobility needs of metro Atlanta residents. The plan will evaluate commute patterns and other travel behaviors and identify changes that could reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality, and increase access to jobs and services.

“We must improve mobility options if we are to successfully build a more equitable region, improve public health, and create a stronger, more resilient economy,” said Roz Tucker, Managing Director of Mobility Services at ARC. “We look forward to receiving and incorporating the feedback from our region’s residents into this TDM plan. Public input is critically important to this process.”

The plan update is in its planning phase now and is scheduled to be completed in 2023.

The online survey period will end April 8 to capture public input during this phase of the planning process. Community feedback will help ARC to better understand key transportation issues and help create a more robust and inclusive plan that meets the needs of all who live, work and play in the region.

The first 50 participants to complete the survey will receive a $25 Amazon gift card. All other survey participants will be entered into a raffle to win one of 50 $25 Amazon gift cards.
