The Atlanta Regional Commission has a new home!
After 18 years at the Loudermilk Center, ARC has moved a few blocks north to bustling, iconic Peachtree Center.
“We’re so excited to call Peachtree Center home,” said Kerry Armstrong, ARC board chair. “It’s a vibrant, walkable place, close to restaurants and shops, readily accessible by mass transit. It’s the kind of place that ARC works so diligently to foster across the region.”
The new office space, located in the International Tower, features a modern, open floor plan with lots of natural light and plenty of creative working spaces. It’s designed to encourage a culture of collaboration and innovation.
ARC has also built a conference center in the plaza level of Peachtree Center, just steps from the International Tower lobby.
This highly flexible space will be used by the ARC Board and will host a range of community meetings. Consider it the regional community’s new front door.
Peachtree Center met ARC’s goals as it scouted for a new headquarters. ARC wanted to remain in the central business district, a location that’s easily accessible to all of its member jurisdictions. The agency also wanted to have improved access to transit and greater control of conferencing space.
“We’re thrilled to move to Peachtree Center,” said Doug Hooker, ARC’s Executive Director. “It’s centrally located, standing symbolically at the heart of the Atlanta region, and provides ARC with expanded and enhanced opportunities for collaboration.”
