Neighborhood Nexus, the region’s Community Intelligence System, has named Tommy Pearce as Executive Director.
Pearce is charged with leading the evolution of Neighborhood Nexus into an organization that focuses on robust engagement of residents and non-profits, increasing their capacity to use data and analytics to address systemic challenges and solve problems.
“The Neighborhood Nexus team has built a truly amazing suite of tools and services, enabling data-informed decision-making among community leaders,” said Pearce. “I am so thrilled for the opportunity to support the continued growth of the organization as it is positioned to increase its visibility and deepen its impact in the region.”
Neighborhood Nexus is a regionally recognized partnership that contributes to the prosperity of metro Atlanta by providing community leaders, government, businesses, advocates and service providers access to and interpretation of community information for the greater good. It is a partnership consisting of the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), which manages the daily operations, the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, the United Way of Greater Atlanta and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Currently, Neighborhood Nexus houses more than 5,000 socioeconomic and demographic variables for every neighborhood, zip code, city, county, legislative district and public school in the state and works with a broad range of stakeholders in the education, health, equity and poverty prevention fields.

Pearce comes to Neighborhood Nexus from the Georgia Center for Nonprofits, where he worked as a consultant to help nonprofits use data strategically, build capacity, develop strategic plans, enhance collaboration and communicate their successes/needs to a variety of stakeholders.
“Tommy’s background in the nonprofit sector, specifically his expertise around using data to drive impact, makes him an ideal fit for Neighborhood Nexus,” said Alicia Philipp, president, Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. “I’m confident that through his leadership Neighborhood Nexus will continue to be a hub for sharing data and knowledge across our region.”
