Statement on U.S. Supreme Court Ruling in Florida v. Georgia Water Case

From Katherine Zitsch, Natural Resources Manager, Atlanta Regional Commission:

“We are disappointed that this litigation will continue, but we are confident that metro Atlanta’s water use is reasonable and will ultimately be affirmed by the Court. Metro Atlanta is a national leader in water conservation, and we only use about 1 percent of the water in the basin. We look forward to a day when all of us who depend on the basin are working together to secure a sustainable water future instead of fighting in court.”
