The Gwinnett Place Community Improvement District (GPCID) commissioned this parking management study to examine current and future parking issues in the CID area. This study not only looks at the current situation, but is also forward-thinking addressing problems that may present themselves as the area redevelops. In this study a variety of parking management techniques used by other municipalities and organizations were examined to determine their “suitability of fit” for the GPCID area. Some of these include establishing parking maximums, shared parking provisions, public parking decks, and on-street parking among others. More

Through the Livable Centers Initiative Program (LCI) the City of Hampton seeks guidance for redevelopment and preservation within the town center area shown on map 1. The impetus for this project is the re-location ofthe City public works facility, a 2.58 acre site just two short blocks from E. The purpose of the study is to provide analysis, guidelines, and recommendations that will guide public and private parking decisions in the Downtown Griffin study area. This study concentrates on the current parking conditions as they existed in January through March of 2009. The Downtown Griffin Comprehensive Parking Study identifies the necessary improvements that should be addressed by the City and private development to ensure an adequate public parking supply, in appropriate locations, with quality and safe design. The Study and subsequent recommendations support downtown vitality as well as the established economic development and land use goals of the City of Griffin. More

This Gwinnett Village Gateway Tax Allocation District Redevelopment Plan seeks to provide Gwinnett County with an effective tool for achieving a full realization of its commercial and residential development potential, as well as a better geographical balance in the development it attracts. A TAD is necessary to spur redevelopment in the Jimmy Carter Boulevard and Indian Trail-Lilburn Road gateway corridors area of the Gwinnett Village CID. In creating this TAD, the County is focusing on a major potential development area within the overall Gwinnett Village CID. Its goals are to: 1. Decrease Crime 2. Develop Community Pride 3. The Atlanta Street Corridor study area encompasses all land within approximately ¼- mile of Atlanta Street (State Route 9) from the Chattahoochee River to Norcross Street, including Roswell’s historic heart. The City of Palmetto is located about 27 miles southwest of Downtown Atlanta. Recent “starter home” residential developments have sprung up with little to no regard for sustainability, local context, safety, or overall quality of life. Recent developments such as Serenbe in the nearby Chattahoochee Hill Country have begun to bring this area of Metro Atlanta to the forefront of desirable places to live. The goal of the LCI program is to encourage planning and investment in existing Activity Centers, integrate land use and transportation planning, and encourage the creation of more sustainable, livable communities consistent with regional development policies. The North Point LCI outlines a development vision for the future of the North Point Activity Center and a series of transportation improvements to sustain and enhance the area as a high-quality place for businesses, employees, shoppers, and residents. The plan outlines Three-character areas to guide future development of the Activity Center: (1) A mid-rise, walkable, mixed-use district along Encore Parkway from North Point Parkway to Westside Parkway; (2) Two higher access, mixed-use commercial centers at the interchanges of Georgia 400 at Mansell and Haynes Bridge Road; and (3) two transitional areas between the core of the Activity Center and surrounding areas. The Tri-County Crossing area is an important emerging commercial center in Spalding County. It has only begun to develop and mature; the time is right to establish a common community vision for its future. The recommendations of this plan outline the projects and steps necessary to create this vision one step and project at a time. The Street Connectivity Framework maps out the critical street connections necessary to create a balanced and interconnected development pattern. This Connectivity Framework should be regulated through the use of an Overlay Zoning District. The purpose of the Open Space and Trail System is to provide multi-use connections from the surrounding rural and suburbanizing area into the future mixed-use commercial center. More
