About Vince Evans
Mayor Evans serves as the Rockdale County mayoral representative on the ARC Board.
Mayor Evans was elected in 2017 after serving on the Conyers City Council since 2000. His goals include, but are not limited to, addressing continuous efforts for Old Town revitalization, public safety issues, and economic development.
Mr. Evans has been involved in the community for the past 38 years in many capacities. Initially he worked with the Rockdale Jaycees, Conyers Rockdale Chamber of Commerce, and the Downtown Merchants Association. He served 17 years on the board of the Boys and Girls Club, two years as president; served on the Rockdale Water Authority, and is the only original board member remaining at the C.E. Steele Community Center. Mayor Evans currently serves on the Conyers Downtown Development Authority, the Conyers Rockdale Economic Development Council, the Conyers Rockdale Chamber of Commerce board of governors, and the Rockdale Medical board of trustees.
He is a member of the Rotary Club of Conyers, the Conyers First United Methodist Church, and is in his 18th year serving on the Conyers City Council. He and his wife Cyndi have two grown children and two grandchildren, Tyler and Kimbrel.
