About Steve Hutchison
Mayor Hutchison serves as the Henry County mayoral representative to the ARC Board. He is also a member of the Community Resources Committee.
Mayor Hutchison’s spent 27 years in the U.S. Air Force, including active service in Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Operation Desert Storm. His law enforcement career began as a police officer in Goodlettsville, TN, and ended in the Henry County Sheriff’s Department where he retired as a Detention Officer in 2016. Since then he served on the Hampton City Council for five years before being elected mayor.
Mayor Hutchison has served on the Henry County Chamber’s board of directors and the Hampton Main Street board of directors. He enjoys helping veterans in the area find housing, food and personal needs. He is a member of American Legion Post 330 and helps distribute food to families through the Atlanta Area Food Bank. He is an active member of Hampton First Baptist Church and serves in various areas of the church’s work.
He and his wife, Linda, have been married for seventeen years, and between them have six children and nine grandchildren.
