Chairman Nesbitt served two terms as Rockdale's Post 1 commissioner before being elected Chairman in 2016.
He is the president and chief consultant of SPEAK UP! Communications, Inc., a local consulting firm that focuses on training, career development, and public speaking. Prior to that, he spent 15 years in law enforcement and also worked as a discipline instructor and basketball coach in Rockdale County Public Schools.
Chairman Nesbitt is a member of the uplift organization, 100 Black Men of America, is an award-winning speaker with Toastmasters International, a member of the East Atlanta Networking Social, and of the Who’s-Who in Auto Sales Professionals.
A native of Augusta, Georgia, Chairman Nesbitt is a member of Beulah Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur where he serves in various capacities. He and his wife, Robernett, have four children.
