A resident of the Peachtree Corners community for over 30 years, he was elected the city's first mayor in March 2012. He co-founded the United Peachtree Corners Civic Association in 1993 and served as president of the organization many times through the years, helping address land use and community issues prior to the area’s municipal incorporation in 2012.
Mayor Mason is currently the owner of Mason CFO Advisory. Prior to that he was the Chief Financial Officer of Amerifleet, Inc. a privately held transportation and logistics company headquartered in Alpharetta.
A native of Sandersville, Georgia, Mason and his wife, Debbie, moved to Peachtree Corners in 1985 where they raised their two sons. Community service has been a hallmark of their married life.
