About Liane Levetan
Liane Levetan serves as a citizen member of the ARC Board, representing District 7, which includes part of DeKalb County. She is also a member of the Advisory Committee on Aging and the Transportation & Air Quality Committee.
Liane Levetan was the first woman elected to the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners, where she represented District 2 for 10 years. In 1993, she was the county's first female CEO, and served in that position for two terms from 1993-2000. She then served as a state senator and has remained engaged in public service.
Mrs. Levetan began her career as an educator and eventually became a real estate agent. She and her husband, Phil, have two daughters and four grandchildren.
