About Dr. Aleika Anderson-Henry
Alieka Anderson-Henry serves on the ARC Board in her capacity as Chair of the Clayton County Commission.
Chair Anderson-Henry was elected in 2024, after serving three years as the District 1 commissioner. Prior to her election to the commission, Dr. Anderson served multiple terms on the Clayton County Board of Education as the District 8 representative and, later, as both Vice-Chair and Chair of that body.
Along with many years of experience in education as a teacher and assistant principal, Dr. Anderson serves as a K-2 Literacy Coach in the Clayton County School System. She sits on the Clayton Center Board, the Clayton County Development Authority, and the Clayton County Housing Authority. She has a Ed.D in Educational Leadership, a Master of Arts in Instruction, and Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Dr. Anderson is a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and Traveler’s Rest Baptist Church. She has one son.
