He was elected to the county commission in 2020 to serve District 2, the southern portion of Forsyth County. His colleagues voted him Secretary of the commission in 2021 and then Chairman for 2022. Prior to his election to the Commission, he served on the Forsyth County Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA).
Commissioner John’s background is in Human Resources technology, project management and technology implementation. He and his wife have lived in Forsyth County for almost 20 years, raising two children who attended Forsyth County public schools.
