Transit in the Atlanta Region

Mass transit services in the Atlanta region, including bus, rail and streetcar, play a major role in alleviating congestion and improving air quality, while promoting regional land use and development goals.

Transit reduces the number of single-occupant vehicles on area roads while providing additional travel options that help people access jobs and essential services. Transit also plays an important role in attracting economic development.

The Atlanta Regional Commission’s Metropolitan Atlanta Regional Transit Map provides information on fixed route public transit providers operating in the Atlanta region. Route information is subject to change. Please check with individual transit providers for route updates, fare and transfer information before beginning your trip.
